Description
The Draw Knife can quickly remove bark from a tree or round uneven surfaces. It's a great tool for sculptors, woodworkers, timber framing, or even turn branches into garden stakes or hand rails. It is a true “homestead builder’s tool.” Forged in Germany by a multi-generational family business.
In its simplest form, a drawknife is a single-beveled blade with two handles. They are ancient tools used by Viking Shipwrights in 100 A.D. The tool gets its name from how it is used, drawing it towards you. It’s a very intuitive tool, you control the angle the blade enters the wood which in turn controls the depth of cut.

"Ordered this curved draw knife to shed bark off cedar logs for rustic steps. Cleaned 27 logs 36” in length and still had a sharp edge on the blade. Cleaned and oiled and put it away for the next job. Very happy with the product and service."

"Just the right size carving. Handles are comfortable and don’t get in way of shaving horse. Needed a little touch up on blade edge"
