"This Yankee push drill is rather hard to find. We consider the drill a household essential and have often included the drill in tool gift sets we give to friends and family when graduating from high school. We appreciate Garrett Wade and the excellent, and often unique, products they sell. Thank you Garrett Wade!"
"Ever since I misplaced my Stanley Yankee drill some years ago, I have missed the convenience it provided in every day tasks. My new Garrett Wade unit is exactly like the Stanley model and works great! Wish I had found GW sooner!"
"These modest drills are powerhouses and built to last. It’s convenient to carry in a toolbox when expecting to drill only a few small holes. (Who wants to schlep around a big heavy power tool when not needed?) I’m adding this one to my “travel” toolbox (a small box I keep in my car). I’m 73 and still have the same drill my dad used throughout HIS life, and I keep that one in my main toolbox. I also wanted to have this as a backup for my projects in case the old one ever fails. I was pleased when I discovered the steel version is still offered (along with extra packs of bits!). Before I inherited Dad’s, I tried a cheaper (plastic?) version that wasn’t nearly as good and whose operation wasn’t nearly as smooth. This drill is expensive, but also worth every penny when reliability is essential. By the way, let the bits and tool do the work; don’t put hard pressure trying to force anything. It’s not necessary and it will damage the bits."
"Works great but came with a broken bit"
"Products are great"
"One of the best tools I have purchased and I use it often to drill pilot holes for screws. Highly recommended."
"I can't believe I went so long without my best tool in my bag"
"Not just an amazing tool. A keepsake tool. We have one in the family that has gone from grandfather to father to me. This one will go from me to my woodworking daughter along with the old one someday. Still made just like before. Still works as good as it looks and feels. Something special for sure."
"This was given as a gift to my younger son. I had two original Yankee push drills which were my dad’s, one of which I gifted to my older son. The Garrett Wade version looks and feels just like the original and will hopefully last as long. The replacement bit package looks good and also fits the original, but with a slightly sharper tip profile."
"I love my new Yankee Push Drill; have many jobs at my property where there is no electricity. The tool works great; has wonderful design and easy to use."
